1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Peptide Tracker ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Peptide Tracker is a free web application that allows users to:

• Create and manage peptide protocol schedules
• Log doses and track adherence
• View statistics and calendar visualizations
• Receive optional push notification reminders for scheduled doses
• Export personal data

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Keep your access code secure and not share it with others
• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Only track substances that are legally prescribed to you or for legitimate research purposes
• Not attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the Service
• Not use the Service for any commercial purpose without permission
• Provide accurate information when submitting feedback

5. Account & Access Code

• Your account is identified by a unique 12-character access code
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access code
• If you lose your access code, your data cannot be recovered
• We recommend storing your access code in a secure location
• You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content (excluding user data), is owned by Peptide Tracker. You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

8. Service Availability

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
• We recommend regularly exporting your data as a backup

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service
• We are not responsible for any health decisions made based on data in the Service
• We are not liable for data loss due to technical failures, account deletion, or service discontinuation
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (which is $0 for the free tier)

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peptide Tracker from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from the dashboard.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Upload, store, or transmit malicious code or malware
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Service
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Harvest or collect user information without consent
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without express permission
• Circumvent any security measures or access controls

16. Feedback and Suggestions

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit regarding the Service become our property. We may use, modify, and implement your feedback without obligation to compensate you. You waive any rights you may have in such feedback.

17. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites. You access such links at your own risk and should review their terms before use.

18. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Peptide Tracker regarding the use of the Service. Any prior agreements, representations, or understandings are superseded by these Terms.

20. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by us to be effective.

21. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without your consent in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

22. Offline Functionality & Local Storage

The Service operates as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with offline capabilities:

• Static assets and API responses are cached locally on your device via Service Workers
• When offline, you may view cached data but some features may be limited
• Doses logged while offline are queued locally and synced when connectivity is restored
• You are responsible for ensuring offline-queued actions are eventually synced
• We are not liable for data inconsistencies arising from offline usage
• Clearing your browser cache or local storage will remove cached data and offline queues

23. Data Validation & Input Limits

The Service enforces data validation to maintain data integrity:

• Protocol names are limited to 100 characters
• Notes fields are limited to 500 characters
• Numeric values (doses, concentrations, vial sizes) must be within valid ranges
• All user inputs are sanitized to prevent injection attacks
• Invalid or malformed data submissions will be rejected
• We may modify input validation rules to improve security

24. Push Notifications

The Service offers optional push notification reminders:

• Notifications require your explicit browser permission to enable
• You may revoke notification permissions at any time through your browser settings
• Notification delivery depends on browser support, device settings, and network conditions
• We do not guarantee timely or reliable notification delivery
• You should not rely solely on notifications for critical medical reminders
• Notification data (subscription endpoints) is stored securely on our servers

25. Data Export

You may export your data from the Service:

• Export is available in JSON format containing all your protocols and logs
• Exports are limited to your own account data
• Export functionality may be rate-limited to prevent abuse
• We recommend regular exports as backups of your data
• Exported data is provided "as is" without format guarantees for future compatibility
